London, Feb 3(ANI): Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany believes his team will not snap under pressure and are mentally strong enough to go on and win the Premier League title.City is aiming for its first domestic title since 1968 and has already crashed out of both domestic cups. They have even blown away a three-point lead in the league table over local rivals Manchester United who just trail them on goal difference.
Harry Redknapp and Sir Alex Ferguson have already started playing mind games with City but Kompany insists his team is strong enough.
"If there is one thing I know about our team it is that we are mentally strong. We have been living with this pressure for the past 31/2 years and it has not affected us," The Sun quoted Kompany, as saying.
He believes if people underestimates City then that is good for the team and he is confident of his team bouncing back from every defeat.
"If anything it will give us a boost to carry on and if people want to underestimate us, then please do so. I have always said about our team that we bounce back very well. If you lose a game you just have to carry on," he added. (ANI)
