Melbourne, Jan 30 (ANI): Australian Open champion Novak Djokovic has described his six-hour final match against Rafael Nadal as his greatest ever.
After his victory, the world No.1 took the time to quietly savour his victory with his entourage by belting out a song at the post-tournament staff party.
"Yes, AC/DC," Djokovic confirmed with a smile to a large media contingent, before managing to push out another quick line from Highway To Hell.
Djokovic admitted he'd only managed to get a few hours sleep, with the match finishing after 1.30am, followed by the tournament presentations, some massage, media commitments and spending time with his team, The Age reports.
"Today I only slept for a couple of hours ... but it was worth it. All this effort that we both put in last night on the tennis court was incredible. It was something that we will both remember forever," Djokovic said.
But the five-time grand slam winner said it would also take time for his achievement to sink in.
"Now I will have time to enjoy the success because it's not just about winning a grand slam. It's really more than that. The way that we played yesterday makes me feel very proud of what I achieved," he said. (ANI)
