Madrid, Jan 25(ANI): Spanish club Real Madrid's interest in Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been re-ignited following manager Jose Mourinho's reported troubles with the players and the club hierarchy.
The Los Blancos had previously made an unsuccessful attempt to bring Wenger to Santiago Bernabeu in 2009.
Wenger is on a two-man shortlist to replace Mourinho as Real Madrid manager along with Germany manager Joachim Low, The Daily Mail reports.
Mourinho's relationship with the players and club hierarchy is reckoned to be beyond repair and Madrid's management has already decided on their targets.
"I don't know if I'll be at Real Madrid next season," Mourinho said on Tuesday.
Wenger had turned down a move to Madrid in 2009 but the La Liga leaders strongly feel they have a better opportunity of convincing him to leave Arsenal this time because of his struggle at the north London based club. (ANI)
