Wellington, Jan 14(ANI): New Zealand coach John Wright has hinted that all-rounder James Franklin may be included in the final eleven for the second and final Test against Pakistan.
Franklin enters the frame as a fourth pace-bowling option and a top-six batsman.
Wright said changes were being explored after the embarrassing 10-wicket defeat in the first Test in Hamilton.
"You've got to consider all options and here there's a little bit more grass on this wicket and there may be sideways movement. There will be more pace and we've got to get 20 wickets," Stuff.co.nz quoted Wright, as saying.
Wright didn't rule out playing Franklin as high as No.3 in the batting order, revealing that the left-hander was seen as a potential top-three player in all formats.
"We hope so in the future, so who knows? We've got to try and get that top order functioning better," the New Zealand coach said.
The second Test will begin in Wellington on Saturday. (ANI)
