Melbourne, Dec. 29 (ANI): Having spent the best part of a year in the world's top 10, Sam Stosur knows she belongs in such elite company.
"It's different starting the year in the position I'm in now," Stosur said after practice yesterday for the Brisbane International, which starts at Queensland Tennis Centre on Sunday.
She added: "It's a little bit new to me, but I've been top 10 now for almost a year and been playing really well, so I'm really looking forward to getting 2011 started.
"It was a goal for a little while to try to get there and once I did get there I felt like I belonged there, so it wasn't in my own head a big surprise," she said.
The top seed in Brisbane, Stosur is in the last stages of her Australian Open preparations, where she says she can go one better than she did at Roland Garros. (ANI)
