Palamu (Jharkhand), Dec.27 (ANI): Maoists organised a 'Kangaroo Court' and gave freedom to two Maoists belonging to 'Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad' (JJP) during the weekend in Jharkhand's Palamu District.
Earlier, in a gun battle between the banned Maoist outfits, Bharatiya Communist Party (BCP) and Jharkhand Janmukti Parishad, a Maoist commander belonging to JJP was killed and two Maoists from the same group were captured and taken away by the BCP.
Senior members of BCP to punish the two captured Maoists organised a people's court and in a rare judgment gave freedom and threatened them of dire consequences if they did not leave JJP permanently.
"A people's court has been organised by the Maoists. We have been given a chance this time to change our mindset. They have threatened us that if we do not change then next time they would not allow us to walk away us freely," said Kamesh Parhia, one of the freed Maoists. By Girija Shankar Ojha (ANI)
