London, Dec 11 (ANI): George Michael is being considered for judge's chair on American X Factor.
Show boss Simon Cowell, 51, believes that he could help the 'Careless Whisper' singer revive his career following his spell in jail earlier this year for drug driving.
Simon was located going into George's London home in November, sparking rumors they were on the brink of signing a new music and TV deal.
Now it has been revealed that Simon wants George, 47, to sit on the panel with him when he launches the X Factor in the US.
A source close to the music mogul said George would be ideal as he has a high profile in both the States and Britain.
"Simon has always been a huge fan of George's. His knowledge of the music industry is immense and he would be the perfect mentor for any up-and-coming artist," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
Earlier, Cowell said that, "I won't be announcing the US X Factor line-up until January. No contracts have been signed yet. We are still in the discussion stages." (ANI)
