London, Nov 17 (ANI): England boss Fabio Capello feels that John Terry has put Chelsea before his country.
"He didn't play for us this season because he wasn't completely fit. He preferred not to play so he could be fit for his club. He played many games with injections," Capello said.
Capello's right-hand man had also questioned former skipper John Terry's commitment to the England team.
Earlier, Capello's assistant Franco Baldini had questioned the Chelsea skipper's motives after he pulled out of the Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro last month because of a back injury.
Terry was 'stunned' by the suggestion that he had lost his passion for his country, and insisted he remained as committed and patriotic as ever, The Sun reports.
Terry replied that he remained strongly committed to the England squad; even though he now fears he could be out for months with a nerve problem in his right leg.
The defender has played only 45 minutes for England since the start of the season, when he came off at half-time in the August friendly against Hungary.
He then missed the next three internationals. Yet after all those matches he played for Chelsea in their next game. (ANI)
