Tyson wants Haye to win the 'Battle of Britain' against Harrison

London, Fri, 12 Nov 2010 ANI

London, Nov 12(ANI): American boxing legend Mike Tyson has backed WBA world heavyweight champion David Haye to retain his crown in Sunday's 'Battle of Britain' against 2000 Sydney Olympics gold medallist Audley Harrison.

The match will see Haye defend his belt for the second time in what is likely to become one of the biggest grossing fights ever staged in the country.

On the other hand, it will be the last chance for Harrison to make amends for an underwhelming career following his Olympic gold medal.

"I like David. I want him to succeed. He has great looks, he's vibrant, he can be the rising star of the division. If he knocks out Harrison in spectacular fashion he can start a new revolution among young people in sport," the Daily Mail quoted Tyson, as saying.

"But not only is Audley a good guy, they know each other well and that could be dangerous for Haye. They used to be friends. That breeds a familiarity, which could be to David's disadvantage."

"Harrison won't be intimidated by Haye the way I used to intimidate people. And, wow, he has a big KO punch in that left hand," he added.

The boxing match will be held at Manchester's MEN Arena. (ANI)
