New Delhi, Nov.11 (ANI): Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Ansari on Thursday said that globalisation contributed to the world economy as it promoted a process of economic integration.
Addressing an International seminar organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) in the national capital, Ansari said Indian culture has great significance to the globalising world.
"It is here that Indian culture has a relevance to the globalising world of today. Being the confluence of ideas, values and tradition, it cannot but inherently seeing credit. While maintaining the purity of Indian tradition, dance forms, music, literature and art, it accepts the authenticity of others and often synthesizes them into newer and richer forms," said Ansari.
Globalisation in India has allowed various foreign-based companies to increase their base of operations, expand their workforce with minimal investments, and provide new services to a broad range of consumers.
The process of globalisation has been an integral part of the recent economic progress made by India. (ANI)
