Bangalore, Nov 10 (ANI): National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), the premier organisation that represents and sets the tone for public policy for the Indian software industry, kicked off its 'Annual Product Conclave' here on Wednesday in an attempt to create a market for start-up companies to put forth their products.
Speaking on the occasion, NASSCOM President Som Mittal said a large number of entrepreneurs are participating in the two-day conference and NASSCOM will guide them in a proper way.
"In today's conference we had very large number of entrepreneurs, their fund managers and others so it is clear that an eco system has been established. And as NASSCOM we will play our role, our focus is far more now on products as well as on supporting start ups," said Som Mittal.
"We have to provide them the right channels, their visibility, our emerged forum is very active at this and in fact in the last several years we have now started taking only taking small and medium sized enterprises in our delegations and also we have participation from delegation coming from overseas," he added.
Over 600 start-up companies are participating in the conclave.
Mittal further said that the conference had shown positive result and we can expect better technology in the future.
"I think it's picking up momentum and we do hope as we said that out of this crowd you see today there will be the SAP'S, the Google's, the Microsoft's and the Facebook's emerging," he added. (ANI)
