London, Nov 8 (ANI): Lady Gaga earned three gongs at the MTV Europe Awards on Sunday night when host Eva Longoria paid tribute to her unique fashion sense.
Gaga was the big winner at the event, scooping the awards for Best Pop, Best Female and Best Song.
The pop singer, who was nominated for five awards, won Best Song for her hit 'Bad Romance' as well as the Best Pop and the Best Female, reports the Telegraph.
She was unable to pick up her gongs, but interrupted her concert in Budapest.
"I hate that I'm not there, but I'm working so hard," she said before breaking into a snatch of song.
'Desperate Housewives' actress Eva Longoria trumped Lady Gaga's now infamous 'meat dress' by sporting a giant ham dress to host the gala ceremony.
Longoria, who was wearing one of the 13 planned outfits, described herself as 'jamon iberico'.
Katy Perry, who like Gaga was nominated in five categories, took Best Video for 'California Gurls'.
Justin Bieber was voted the Best Male, while Linkin Park brought their road crew out to help celebrate winning the Live Act category.
Eminem triumphed in the Hip Hop category, while Shakira was given the Free Your Mind award in recognition for her charity work campaigning for universal education. (ANI)
