Pietersen not interested in Australia's losing streak

Sydney , Sun, 07 Nov 2010 ANI

Sydney, Nov 7 (ANI): England batsman Kevin Pietersen has said that he has taken little interest in Australia's losing run, and added that he hasn't even watched a single ball of their recent defeats to Sri Lanka.

Australia's losing run in all forms of the game stretched to seven after Friday night's one-day loss to Sri Lanka.

"I haven't watched a single ball. My computer's turned on to Skype and I speak to my wife and baby as much as I can. I haven't watched a single ball, I haven't even turned my TV on in Australia," Pietersen said after scoring 58 against Western Australia.

"I haven't read a headline, nothing. Somebody told me (on Saturday) that they lost (on Friday) but that's got nothing to do with us. We are concentrating on our game and what we do," he added.

Western Australia will resume on day three at 1-109 in their second innings, holding an overall lead of 128, with Wes Robinson unbeaten on 46 and Michael Swart on 16.

Pietersen was the only recognised batsman to score in England's innings, hitting nine boundaries in his 90-ball stay to help the visitors reach 8(dec)-223. (ANI)
