Melbourne, Oct 17 (ANI): With ordinary record in England, both in county cricket, Tests and one-dayers, pacer Doug Bollinger will surprise plenty of Englishmen in the Ashes series this Australian summer by showing that he can actually bowl a bit.
"Few Englishmen would say they have found much fearsome about Bollinger, who has consistently struggled to find the kind of menace, speed and swing he has often summoned elsewhere," The Sydney Morning Herald reports.
"I have to be honest, I think England is the hardest place I've had to bowl," said Bollinger in Kochi before the One Day International match against India was abandoned due to the bad weather.
"A lot of people say India but I actually like bowling here, for some silly reason. I've found England quite hard but that's just another challenge and hopefully the next opportunity I get over there I can finally nail it," he added.
Bollinger further said that he has not picked many wickets in England, but would hope to build that up during next month's Ashes series.
"Everyone's stronger when they're at home and I'm sure that's what we're going to be, we're all ready to go and hopefully the wickets are nice, fast and bouncy, just the way I like it," he said. (ANI)
