New Delhi, Fri, 15 Oct 2010 ANI

New Delhi, Oct 15 (ANI): External Affairs Minister S M Krishna on Friday said India will raise concerns expressed by its IT industry over the US curbs on outsourcing during US President Barack Obama's maiden visit to India.

"There are some serious reservations being expressed about India's IT industry about outsourcing and the tightening of visa rules. These are the kind of issues that will be discussed," said Krishna, while addressing the media persons here in reply to a question on the areas on which India expected to see positive improvement during President Obama's visit.

Krishna, however, stressed that the commonalities between India and the US are so strong that the problems in perception on some issues will not mar the relationship.

When asked will India discuss China with US President Barack Obama during his visit, he said: "When India and US take into account sit discuss global issues, China is important regional power, therefore we will exchange notes with US on what is there approach and what is India's approach."

Krishna further said that the nuclear issue as also the growing Chinese assertiveness would also figure in the wide-ranging discussions that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh would have with President Obama during his five-day visit to India beginning from November 5. (ANI)
