John Travolta feels Hollywood needs Bollywood

Nevada (US), Oct 14 (ANI): Hollywood star John Travolta, who was recently in Mumbai (India), was quoted in the India's media as saying that Hollywood needed Bollywood more than the other way around.

 

He also reportedly pointed out that there might be a potentiality of financing coming from India as Hollywood faced financial crisis caused by recession.

 

Travolta reportedly said that Europeans brought changes and made huge contribution to American cinema and added that it was now Bollywood's turn.

 

Seeing Travolta's love for India, noted Indo-American statesman Rajan Zed has urged him to explore the rich and diverse philosophical thought India offered and the wisdom embedded in it. It would be a wonderful experience for Travolta to understand the nature of reality Indian thought presented, Zed, who is Chairperson of Indo-American Leadership Confederation, added.

 

During his various media conversations, Travolta also reportedly added that he would love to work in Bollywood and would enjoy singing and dancing in Bollywood. It felt like being at home, he said about his India visit. He argued that the reason he liked the Bollywood industry because the films were family oriented.

 

According to reports, Oscar nominated John Joseph Travolta (Pulp Fiction), 56, was in Mumbai to launch Navitimer Caliber 01, the new limited-edition watch from Breitling, and to participate in GQ Man of the Year awards. He brought his two sisters and 10-year old daughter Ella and 16-member entourage in his private jet on his maiden two-day India trip.

 

Travolta was reportedly apparently bowled over by Bollywood leading lady Filmfare award winner Aishwarya Rai (Jodhaa Akbar). An admirer of Filmfare award winner Aamir Khan (Lagaan) and BAFTA nominated Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire); he said that he liked seeing Hindi movies.

 

Many other Hollywood and entertainment celebrities have also expressed their love for India in the past, including Julia Roberts, Goldie Hawn, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Simpson, etc. World's most multidimensional place, India has something to offer to everyone, Rajan Zed says.
