Sydney, Oct 9 (ANI): Australian pacer Peter George, who is replacing injured Doug Bollinger in the squad for the second Test against India, has been dubbed as "Glenn McGrath with an outswinger".

George has replaced injured seamer Bollinger in the Australian line-up for the second Test.eorge (23) has the physique to extract McGrath's bounce, and has also shown an aptitude for landing the ball in the same spot time after time.

Former pace bowling coach Peter Muggleton is said to have described George as "Glenn McGrath with an outswinger".

Well aware of the McGrath parallels, George is happy to live with them.

"It's a pretty high compliment for me. If I could be half of what (McGrath) was, then I'd be pretty happy with that," George once told Cricinfo.

"The main thing I try to do is stay tall and use my height, and get as much bounce as I can. Any movement is a bonus on top of that," he said.

In the first innings of the practice match in Chandigarh, his straightness and bounce made for the ideal back up to Ben Hilfenhaus and Mitchell Johnson.

George has been also able to gather both conventional and reverse swing with the Indian SG ball, while impressing all with his maturity. (ANI)
