Karachi, Oct 3 (ANI): Pakistan's tainted trio, Salman Butt, Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Asif, are expected to appear before a tribunal that will hear their appeals against their provisional suspensions by the International Cricket Council (ICC) under its anti-corruption code over the spot-fixing allegations.
According to sources, the hearing is expected to take place on October 28 in London, and the trio are likely to leave for the British capital on October 25, The News reported.
In a bid to contest disciplinary action, the three Pakistani cricketers had entered a plea of not guilty, demanding the removal of their provisional suspensions, which were imposed on them following allegations that Asif and Amir had deliberately bowled no-balls during the fourth Test against England at Lord's.
Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly holding talks with the ICC, wanting it to conduct its preliminary hearing into the spot-fixing case before the series against South Africa starting from October 26.
"The PCB does not want this issue to linger and wants to know whether the trio can be available for the South Africa series or not," revealed a source. (ANI)
