London, Sep 28(ANI): British Formula One ace Lewis Hamilton has admitted that he faces a big battle to claim the championship crown, but also insists that he has been in worse positions.
Hamilton has dropped to third in the drivers' standings after crashing out for a second race in a row in Singapore on Sunday.
"I'll put the setback behind me as I always do. We've got four races ahead of us and I honestly don't know if I can get my season back on track. But I've been in worse positions," The Sun quoted Hamilton, as saying.
"This is nothing compared with what I experienced in 2007 or 2008. It's a tough time of the year. I don't have a reason or excuse. It's motor racing. And when it comes to the next race in Japan, we will do all we can to finish in front of everyone else," he added.
The 25-year-old has claimed points in just one of his last four races - his win in Belgium.
With 182 points, Hamilton is 20 points behind Red Bull's title leader Mark Webber (202 points).
Ferrari's Fernando Alonso is at second place with 191 points, while Webber's team-mate Sebastian Vettel is fourth with 181 points. (ANI)
