Lahore, Sep 26 (ANI): Pakistani hockey players have alleged that the Pakistan Hockey Federation has not paid their daily allowances as per the criteria for their Holland tour.
The players claimed that while the PHF was bound to pay each player 100 dollars per day, which meant that every player should have been paid 2400 dollars for the entire tour, the actual amount paid to each of them was only 210 dollars, the Dawn reported.
Moreover, the players asserted that despite being members of Pakistan's national hockey squad, they were given a club-level accommodation during their stay in Holland.
However, PHF Secretary Asif Bajwa declined to clear up the situation, saying, "I'll not respond to such speculations, till you do not disclose the names of the players."
Earlier, the PHF was slammed by hockey experts for organising the camp in Holland, as they noted that since the Commonwealth Games and the Asian Games were going to be held in Asia, the team's preparations in Europe would not serve the purpose.
The PHF had wasted around 20 million rupees on holding the 20-day camp in Holland, claimed Pakistani Olympian Shahnaz Sheikh. (ANI)
