Sydney, Sep 25(ANI): After Victorian Bushrangers' elimination from the Twenty20 Champions League, captain David Hussey is supporting South Australia Redbacks to emerge victorious despite the presence of his brother Michael in the other title contender team, the Chennai Super Kings.
"I'm still hoping South Australia can win the whole thing. I'd rather back an Australian team win than an Indian or a South African team," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted David, as saying.
He also said that Michael had apologized to him after Chennai Super Kings effectively eliminated his team from the tournament in South Africa.
The Bushrangers were eliminated after finishing third in their group on run-rate behind Chennai Super Kings and South Africa's Warriors.
Michael hit a half-century and took two smart outfield catches in Chennai's victory.
"I spoke to him late after the game and he sort of apologized ... It's all good. I wish him all the best," David said.
The Redbacks will play the Warriors in the second semi-final at Centurion on Saturday. (ANI)
