New Delhi, Sept.18 (ANI): Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit has expressed confidence that pollution levels in the national capital will come down further with the introduction of hybrid buses.

Speaking at a function to inaugurate the city's largest bus transport depot here, Dikshit said the launching of hybrid buses should be seen as a defining moment in the history of Delhi, and added that it was a welcome feather in the cap of the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).

Expressing confidence about more hybrid buses being inducted into the DTC fleet, the chief minister said, Delhi is set to welcome new initiatives of the DTC aimed at improving the lifestyle of passengers at large.

Delhi Public Works Department Minister, Raj Kumar Chauhan, said his department has taken due care in commissioning all projects within stipulated period and with substantial savings.

He described the new transport depot as an important infrastructure for the capital.
