Melbourne, Sep 14 (ANI): Glamour girl Lee Furlong has signed on as a Cricket Australia ambassador in a move that is expected to attract more women to the sport.
CA hopes the better half of Aussie opener Shane Watson, as the sexy new weapon in Australian cricket, will get women talking about the game, reports the Courier Mail.
Furlong, a regular WAG on the Australian cricket scene, has developed a love of cricket through her romance with Watson and also her job as a Fox Sports newsreader.
It was only a few weeks ago that cricket was given a stark warning that it had lost touch with kids and women and needed a jolt to ensure it did not lose further ground. (ANI)
