Shillong, Sep 11 (ANI): A low-intensity earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale was felt in Assam-Meghalaya region on Saturday afternoon that shook parts of the North-East.
"The moderate intensity earthquake was felt in Assam-Meghalaya region at 12:32 p.m. The epicentre was located in Meghalaya's Garo hills region near Assam border," said Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).
Earlier on Friday, another earthquake had shaken some parts of the region at 5:54 p.m.
No loss of life or damage to property has, however, been reported so far. (ANI)
