London, Aug 30 (ANI): Olympic gold-medallist Usain Bolt has confessed in a new book that he is lazy and often misses training, but had there been medals for partying, he would have won them all.
In Day One, a fascinating two-part insight into the private life of one of the world's greatest sportsmen, Bolt said that he is naturally lazy, often misses training and blew his first chance at an Olympics because he 'couldn't be bothered'.
The 24-year-old Jamaican sprinter further revealed how he spent years partying but now finds he is happiest hanging out at home playing dominoes.
"I partied hard every year from 2003, when I moved to the city of Kingston, Jamaica, aged 17, until I was 20. My nights out would not start till 1am and finished at 6am. When you're a young man, enjoying life, you don't worry about it," The Sun quoted Bolt, as saying.
"In Kingston, I could do whatever I wanted - freedom. If there were gold medals for partying I'd have won them all. On a good night out, I would have a couple of bottles of Guinness and still go off to training the next day," he added.
Bolt, however, maintained that his athletics career stalled around the same time due to his injury and not because of his lifestyle. (ANI)
