Ferozepur, Aug 30 (ANI): The Border Security Force (BSF) have deployed boats to patrol the flooded areas near the fenced Pakistan border in Punjab's Ferozepur district.
BSF officials said the level of water in the Satluj river rose after Pakistan released water from its side.
"A lot of water is filled in the low-lying areas here. Water is also near the fencing areas, so, due to this we have increased the personnel in our water wing, and we are dominating the area like this," said Bachu Ram, a BSF Post Commander.
"Many instructions have come from our seniors related to the waterborne diseases, which we are taking care of. We are taking care of the medication here. There are snake-biting kits available at every point. Our medical officers are visiting here regularly. The anti-malaria fogging is also done on a regular basis," he added. By Sarabjeet (ANI)
