Sydney, Aug 27(ANI): Australian batsman Michael Hussey considers October's tour of India as an ideal preparation for his team's Ashes series, saying that any Test cricket in the next few months will be good.
"I see a lot of positives about going to India as well, particularly playing a couple of Tests," The Sydney Morning Herald quoted Hussey, as saying.
"Test matches are very hard, particularly the bowlers. They'll get into mode of bowling long spells," he added.
Te 35-year-old further said that fast bowler Peter Siddle is making good progress from his back injury diagnosed in February.
He believes that Siddle could be the bowler to unsettle Indian and English batsmen.
"I believe his rehab is going very well and he's flying at the moment and bowling quite fast in the nets. I'm not a selector, but if it was up to me I'd love to have someone like Peter Siddle in the team," Hussey said.
"He's willing to work hard all day and is very disciplined. We need someone like him in the team if were going to be successful," he added.
During the tour of India, the two teams will play two Tests and three ODIs. (ANI)
