London, Aug 26 (ANI): Santos attacking midfielder Neymar is likely to join Chelsea in future, according to the player's international agent.
Chelsea had been keen to sign Brazil international Neymar (18) this summer, but a bid said to be worth 23 million pounds failed to convince his club, Santos, to sell and the player has since committed to a new five-year deal.
Neymar has also penned a two-year agreement with his agent Zahavi to represent him outside Brazil, increasing his chances of a move to Stamford Bridge, The Sun reports.
Zahavi said: "Neymar will stay with Santos but I'm sure he will become a Chelsea player eventually."
"He loves Santos and wants to win the Copa Libertadores, South America's most important competition. But Neymar also knows that for his career he needs to move to a big club," he said.
Neymar has a 37 million pound release clause in his new deal. His possible move to Chelsea caused a storm in Brazil this summer with the likes of Pele campaigning for him to stay. (ANI)
