Karachi, Aug.25 (ANI): Pakistan fast bowler Umar Gul, who missed the third Test against England at The Oval due to a hamstring injury, is doubtful for the fourth Test starting Thursday at Lord's, as he is yet to recover fully.
Team manager Yawar Saeed said while Gul is certain to feature in the forthcoming five match one-day series against the hosts, the chances of him playing in the fourth Test are uncertain.
"He has recovered well and looks certain to play in the one-day series next month. But we will know in next 24 hours if he can also be fit for the fourth Test as well," The Daily Times quoted Saeed, as saying.
Gul, one of Pakistan's most experienced bowlers, injured his hamstring during the second Test at Edgbaston and has been advised rest for three to four weeks.
Saeed added that the pacer has made rapid progress and would undergo fresh fitness tests and MRI scans to reveal the actual status of his injury. (ANI)
