Washington, August 25 (ANI): Angelina Jolie is all set to debut as a director - and a screenwriter - for an upcoming feature film.
The film will feature a romance set against the 1992-1995 Bosnian war, British film company GK Films confirmed in a statement.
According to the rep of GK Films, Jolie will not act in the film.
As per GK Films' press release, the untitled film's cast will be comprised solely of "various ethnicities of the former Yugoslavia."
The Oscar-winning star and mother of six will also serve as producer on the film, which she described as "a love story, not a political statement," in a statement issued by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), for which she's goodwill ambassador.
"I would like to involve as many local people as possible and learn as much as I can, " UsMagazine.com quoted her as saying.
Jolie was photographed scouting for locations in Budapest, Hungary over the weekend-with 2-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox as her companions; she also made a stop in Sarajevo, Bosnia, meeting with leaders there about the plight of war refugees. (ANI)
