New Delhi, Aug 24 (ANI): Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram will on Wednesday inaugurate a three-day DGPs/IGPs Conference being organized by the Intelligence Bureau here.
The Prime Minister, Dr.Manmohan Singh will address the Conference on Thursday.
The objectives of the Conference are to provide an interactive platform for senior police professionals and security administrators in the country to freely discuss and debate diverse national security-related issues as also the various operational, infrastructural and welfare-related problems faced by the police in India.
Its deliberations include formulation and sharing of professional practices and processes in tackling challenges relating to crime control and law and order management besides internal security threats such as terrorism, insurgency, left wing extremism, espionage and organized crime. (ANI)
