Junagadh (Gujarat), Aug 19 (ANI): Forest and police officials in Gujarat's Junagadh district rescued four boys from a flash flood in a forest area.

Boys were caught in the heavy current and washed away when they had gone to bathe in the check dams near the hilly areas of the Junagadh forests.

"We came here to take bath and the water gushed in with full speed because of the heavy rains. We were nearly drowned by the fast-moving water. Then we caught hold of a bush there and the forest and police officials rescued us," said Bhautik Makwana, a rescued boy.

The forest and police officials who were patrolling in the forest rescued the four boys.

"Four students came here for enjoying and to take bath in the river. They were almost drowned because of speeding current. Then they caught hold of the bushes near the check dam and we rescued them," said Devayat Nandniya, forest guard, Forest Department of Junagadh. By Hanif Khokhar (ANI)
