London, Aug 15 (ANI): Manchester City's Arab owners are likely to offer coaching stint to Fabio Capello if Roberto Mancini fails to lead the team to a flying start in the Premier League.

Mancini starts the season already under massive pressure with Manchester City having spent 106 million pounds.

He knows is he fails to keep City at the top from the very outset then the Abu Dhabi owners will not hesitate to act and ask Capello to manage the club.

The England manager is fully aware of City's interest having met the club's hierarchy last season on a social basis, News of the World reports.

The owners of Manchester City outlined their long-term ambitions for the club and Capello privately conceded that he was hugely impressed with the plans.

The FA is also aware of City's intent and it was part of the reason why the break clause in Capello's contract was removed before the World Cup.

City chiefs are now keeping a close eye on Capello's situation with England following the debacle in South Africa, the Paper reports. (ANI)
