Katy Perry's trip to India with Russell Brand inspired her song 'Peacock'

Melbourne, Aug 14 (ANI): Singer Katy Perry has revealed that her album Teenage Dream's raciest song, 'Peacock', was inspired by a trip to India with fiancee British comedian Russell Brand.

"There're a lot of peacocks in India," the Herald Sun quoted her as saying.

"They're weird: they're birds, but the males are the most beautiful. They sound like cats when they squawk and they can't fly. And their names are basically double entendres or an innuendo."

The chorus in her song runs "I wanna see your peacock".

"They're wonderful plays on words, an example of my messed-up sense of humour," Perry said.

"It's fun to have a double meaning that's not so in your face.

"It's unfortunate maybe there'll be really young kids singing it thinking it's so innocent, when there's a whole other spin to it," she added. (ANI)
