London, August 11 (ANI): Robbie Williams has revealed that he wanted a low-key Las Vegas wedding.
The pop star wed his American actress girlfriend at their Beverly Hills home with a small number of close friends and family in attendance.
Williams admits he initially wanted to escape to the bright lights of Vegas and have a quirky ceremony - but backtracked on the idea after realising how Field had been planning her perfect day.
"I didn't have those marital dreams that are ingrained in women. My idea, was 'Yeah, I love you, I'm yours for life, so why don't we just pop to Las Vegas and make it official?' But then I realised how important the day is to Ayda, and that she had a day planned in her head. I thought, 'Baby, whatever you want to do.' It's about the bride, isn't it?" the Daily Star quoted him as telling Hello magazine.
And Field reveals the pair was also considering escaping to the Bahamas for a beachside ceremony - but decided to stay at home because it felt "safe".
She adds, "We were thinking of a beach in the Bahamas, but August is hurricane season. We feel safe in this house - plus we wanted the doggies to be here." (ANI)
