Asif urges Pak batsmen to take lessons from Morgan's 'patient' innings

London, Aug.5 (ANI): In form Pakistan pacer Mohammed Asif has urged his team's batsmen to take a lesson from England's Eoin Morgan, who showed great patience and skill to hit his maiden Test century in the first match of the four match series at Tent Bridge.

"Morgan played excellently on the first day. He came in under pressure at 118 for four and just left the ball for one hour. Collingwood too took his time. Our batsmen also need to take their time and see off the good bowlers," Asif said.

Commenting on Pakistan's success in the T20 format and its below par show in the five day game, Asif said that format of the slam bang version of game was such which came easily to Pakistani cricketers.

"This is what we play in the street so this is one of our natural strengths. We were playing this when we were young 10, eight-over matches," the right arm speedster said.

"But we need to learn how to handle the pressure over five days. We can win Tests if we win each session, Twenty20 is just one session," The News quoted Asif, as saying. (ANI)
