Tom Jones paid £3.1m for Monaco Red Cross concert

London, Aug 03 (ANI): Welsh singer Sir Tom Jones was paid 3.1 million pounds for a one-and-a-half hour charity concert for the Red Cross.

 

The whopping paymeny made Sir Jones the top earner for a single gig at 103,332 pounds per song.

 

"It was a wonderful evening. Tom and his band played some of his greatest hits, including It's Not Unusual, Sex Bomb, Green, Green Grass Of Home and Kiss, and had everyone up on their feet dancing, throwing napkins and flowers at him during the crescendo," The Mirror quoted one of his fans as saying.

 

Sir Jones was given a standing ovation by the rich and famous came to attent the 62nd Red Cross Ball in Monaco.

 

The 70-year-old generous artist apparently donated a substantial chunk of his fee to charity at the end of the evening."He was worth every euro," a spokeswoman for the event said. (ANI)
