Kolkata, Aug 1 (ANI): Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor and her sister Rhea Kapoor, who turns a debutant producer, promoted the upcoming flick 'Aisha' in Kolkata.
Speaking about the movie, Sonam said her role in the film is a growth of a character.
"Aisha is one such girl, who has not grown yet. She has not come out of her age yet. So, there is a growth in the character. So, this girl has got a generosity of spirit as well. The movie 'Aisha' is about her growth, her friends and her life," said Sonam Kapoor.
She also praised her sister Rhea for her capabilities, and mentioned that Rhea was the youngest on the set, but had the leadership qualities to keep the work going.
Meanwhile, Rhea Kapoor said the character of Aisha is very similar to Sonam.
"The character is very similar in a way that she does everything with a sort of innocence, but she is also like a little devil. You know, she is very mischievous and Sonam has that qualities," said Rhea Kapoor.
"She will do the most ridiculous things, but she will be smiling, 'I didn't know, I didn't do that', you know, and we are like 'Of course you do'," she added.
Actors Cyrus Sahukar and Arunoday Singh, who are playing supporting roles, were also present at the promotional event of the film.
Directed by Rajshri Ojha and produced by Rhea Kapoor, the film has Abhay Deol and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles.
The movie is an adaptation of the British novel 'Emma' written by Jane Austen and will release on August 6. (ANI)
