London, July 25 (ANI): Former England captain Bob Willis has declared England's batsmen have nothing to fear from Australia's misfiring pace attack of Johnson, Doug Bollinger and Ben Hilfenhaus.
"I don't think the England batsmen would be quaking in their boots about the prospect of facing this particular Australian attack," the Courier Mail quoted Willis as telling the Sunday Mail.
"The main area of concern for Australia is the disappointment of the three frontline seamers. I was surprised after being International Cricketer of the Year that Mitchell Johnson's poor form in England has continued," Willis added after Australia lost the Leeds Test to Pakistan by three wickets.
Pakistan is a team that has won only one of their past 18 Tests, and their defeat of the Australians is likely to infuse fresh confidence in England ranks when they travel Down Under of this year's Ashes series.
Ponting has accepted responsibility for Australia's loss as he admitted he got the toss wrong by batting first only to see Australia bowled out for 88.
"There's no doubt it's (the toss) had a big impact on it. That is my responsibility to get those sort of things right. The wicket was dry and it had surface cracks, it certainly wasn't something you expected to seam all over the place but it did that," Ponting said.
"Any decision that is made like that is obviously the captain's and when you have a loss like we've had it's the responsibility of the captain as well. The buck stops with me in all those things," he added. (ANI)
