London, July 24 (ANI): Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie is apparently turning her hand to directing.
The 35-year-old actress has penned the script for a new movie, which will be a Romeo and Juliet-style romance between a Bosnian Muslim woman and a Serbian soldier.
"It is really well written. She wrote the film based on her own research from her charitable visits to Bosnia," the Daily Express quoted an insider on the film saying.
"It is a heart-rending drama and she is really passionate about it. This is a very exciting stepping stone to a new career for her," the insider added.
Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt, 46, who have six children, visited Bosnia in April where they saw several refugee camps.
Shooting is set to start in the autumn and Jolie will fly to the country soon. (ANI)
