London, July 20(ANI): Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has admitted that Arsenal remain very much in the driving seat over a decision on Cesc Fabregas' move to the Spanish club this summer.
"I think bringing in Cesc will cost a lot and if Arsenal don't want to negotiate he won't come," The Independent quoted Fabregas, as saying.
Guardiola made sure to reiterate that he does "want" Fabregas "to come".
Earlier, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had insisted that Fabregas' Barcelona saga was over, as the Gunners will not allow their captain to go.
"The discussion is stopped. We never wanted it to start. I always said that we wanted him to stay. He's such an important player for us, he's our captain and we want to keep him," Wenger had said.
"That's why we were not listening to any offers. We have shown our love and care for Cesc," he added. (ANI)
