New York, July 16 (ANI): Oscar winning actress Angelina Jolie has reportedly asked the promoters of her new film 'Salt' to invite the real-life femme fatale Russian spy Anna Chapman for the movie's premiere.
Jolie's flick, in which she plays a CIA agent suspected of being a Russian sleeper agent, has similarities to the real-life drama of Chapman, who posed for years as an American while serving Moscow.
Igor Dubinin, one of the promoters of the film, said that it's not easy to find Chapman in order to invite her.
"How are we going to look for Chapman? We have no idea," the New York Post quoted Dubinin as telling Lifenews.ru.
"But since it's a personal request . . . we'll do everything possible," he added.
The movie's local promoters said they have sent a personal premiere invitation to Chapman's previous home address in Russia and are hopeful.
"This is a unique convergence of a script and the fate of this woman," said another 'Salt' promoter.
However the spokesman for Sony Pictures said: "We are not aware of anything (invitation to Chapman) like this." (ANI)
