Lahore, July 14 (ANI): The Pakistan Sports Ministry has asked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to provide details of people who have travelled to England to watch the Test series against Australia on the board's expenses.
In a letter to PCB's Chief Operating Officer (COO) Wasim Bari, the ministry has asked the board to submit the required information within a week, The Dawn reports.
"I am directed to state that the following information is required from Pakistan Cricket Board: a) List of persons, sponsored out of PCB's funds, if any, excluding the team management/PCB's officials, players and other technical staff during the ongoing tour of Pakistan cricket team to England. b) The head-wise details of expenditures incurred/to be incurred on each person," the letter under signed by ministry official Saeed Ahmed Chaudhry stated.
"The requisite information may please be furnished to this Ministry, on top priority basis within a week's time," the letter added.
The ministry's letter comes after reports revealed that the PCB is bearing the expenses of some influential people for the England tour by making payments through its sponsoring companies. (ANI)
