London, June 27 (ANI): Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole's friend Derek Hough is said to be moving to Britain so that he can stay closer to the singer.
Hough applied for a long-term visa so that he can build a life in the UK.
"Both of them love spending time with each other," News of the World quoted an insider as saying.
"And as Cheryl is slightly more successful than him right now, he has agreed to make a huge sacrifice and move to England to be with her," the source said.
Hough hopes his dancing experience will land him West End theatre roles in London-and he can make a fortune giving private dance tuition.
He has hired a top immigration lawyer in San Diego to begin with his application for an employment visa within the next two weeks.
"Derek has made it clear he wants a long-term visa rather than one for a specific event. These things normally take up to three months to complete, and it will cost him a few thousand in lawyer's fees to rush it through, but he's desperate to get to the UK quickly," an insider said. (ANI)
