London, Jun 27 (ANI): Spanish Formula One ace Fernando Alonso has re-ignited his rivalry with Lewis Hamilton by refusing to race as team-mates ever again.
British ace Hamilton had offered an olive branch to the two-time champ only to see it declined.
Hamilton insisted that he would have no problem partnering the two-time champ in the future just two years after facing taunts from Spanish racists.
Hamilton, who qualified third for the European Grand Prix, said: "I would have no problems being Fernando's team-mate again. I don't have any issues with him. I think he is a great champion and a great driver. I am happy to have any driver as my team-mate, however good they are."
But when asked if he would be willing to partner Hamilton, Alonso replied: "No. Not if it was my choice after what happened with us."
The duo had several bust-ups when they were McLaren team-mates three years ago after Hamilton made it clear he would not be treated like a No.2 driver after being told to ease off and not attack Alonso in Monaco as they came home one-two, News of the World reports. (ANI)
