Lahore, June 27 (ANI): Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf has ruled out coming out of retirement, however he would keep himself associated with the game at the domestic level.
Yousuf, who had retired from all forms of cricket in protest against the ban and a two million rupee fine imposed by the PCB following a probe into Pakistan's terrible performance during the Australia tour earlier this year, said he has no intention to return back to the international stage.
"I don't want to talk on the subject of playing international cricket...my focus is on domestic cricket. I will continue my affiliation with the game. Cricket is my passion and I will continue to play cricket at domestic level. I decided to play this league so youngsters can learn from me," Yousuf told reporters on the sidelines of the Lahore Premier League, a local club tournament.
Yousuf himself appears confused about his future.
Earlier,he had ruled out playing in upcoming Test series against England, but indicated that he might come out of retirement for the series against South Africa, which would be played in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October.
"I am not sure when I will be ready for international cricket. The South Africa series is a possibility and I won't rule myself out of that series, but of course things are not always that simple. I need to have a long and hard think about things and then come to a decision," Yousuf had said.
Pakistan is scheduled to face South Africa in two Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 in the UAE. (ANI)
