Patna, June 22 (ANI): Ministers of the Nitish Kumar Government in Bihar representing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) are likely to stay away from Tuesday's cabinet meeting.
BJP ministers took the decision to stay away from the cabinet meeting as a mark of protest against Nitish Kumar's stand against Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi.
As ministers decide to express their protest, the BJP top brass is meeting in New Delhi to decide future of BJP-Janata Dal (United) alliance in Bihar.
State Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, Health Minister Nand Kishore Yadav and Public Health and Engineering Department Minister Ashwani Kumar Chaubey are in Delhi to attend the party's core committee meeting.
The decision of BJP ministers would further intensify party's differences with Nitish Kumar and JD (U).
In another development, state Road Transport Minister Prem Kumar and Cooperatives Minister Griraj Singh, have openly questioned Nitish Kumar's decision to return the money given by Gujarat in 2008 for flood relief.
Differences between Kumar and the BJP began on June 12 when he expressed displeasure over newspaper advertisements featuring him and Narendra Modi. (ANI)
