London, April 9 (ANI): American singer Whitney Houston has cancelled the opening night schedule of her U.K. tour due to a respiratory infection.
After witnessing signs of Houston's ill health previously during her performances in Australia, insiders say that the 46-year-old singer is about to crumble because of poor health, reports The Mirror.
Houston was seen spitting in a video on YouTube while on her Australian concert.
She had earlier cancelled her performance in Paris. It was expected that she would continue with her tour in the U.K. because of the kick off in Manchester. However, she scrapped the plan.
"The strain of the tour is starting to take its toll on Whitney. She is struggling with her health and isn't able to perform," a source said.
"They don't want to risk pushing her and have taken on board the doctors orders to let her try and recover, so that hopefully she can bounce back. They are hoping she'll be well enough for Birmingham. But she isn't as young as she used to be - and it is starting to tell," adds the source. (ANI)
