The Mughal gardens, Nishat Bagh or Tulip Garden and Botanical Garden, have played a major role in the promotion of tourism for decades.

"Last year was a good season from tourism point of view, the tourists who visited Srinagar visited various parks. Learning lesson from last year we want these parks to be properly maintained. Whether they are Mughal gardens, Nishat Bagh or Tulip Garden and Botanical Garden they are presented to the tourists nicely," said Gulam Sarvar Naqash, Director Floriculture, J-K.

Meanwhile, hundreds of gardeners are busy planting new varieties of flowers in the gardens, and construction work is also in full swing.

"I think the tourists like visiting the gardens especially the Mughal gardens and they also like Tulip Garden which finally has become more famous," said Zahoor Ahmed, a gardener. (ANI)
