London, Mar 7 (ANI): British actress Carey Mulligan, who is nominated in the Best Actress category at the Oscars, has revealed she was turned away by three drama schools, before she made it big.
The actress has already bagged a Bafta for her role in the film 'An Education.'
Mulligan said that the negative experiences had made her "realise just how much" she loved acting.
However, her dream came true when she was 14 or 15 and got selected to act with Dame Judi Dench.
"I'd wake up, go, 'Aww, man'. Then when I did Pride And Prejudice five years ago, my first acting job, my first day of filming was a scene with Dame Judi," the Daily Express quoted her as saying.
She added: "From day one I've been pinching myself. It's like it's happening to someone else. It's very surreal." (ANI)
